The National Woodskills Festival is a competition which encompasses a broad spectrum of wood craftsmanship and wood art. Some of the competitors are professionals but many are gifted amateurs. At this stage the competition is only open to New Zealanders.

Few people have the opportunity to see the skills and techniques by which these beautiful objects are created. Thus an important part of our Festival is the presence of the demonstrators who are able to show and explain their techniques and the use of their, very often, specialised tools.

One of the purposes of this site is to spread the word to visitors in the hope that they will pass on our address to others whom they feel may be interested.

The   National Woodskills Festival 2004 will be held on September 10th - 12th in the Ron Hardie Recreation Centre, Onslow St, Kawerau.

Pages will be updated as the information becomes available. If you wish to be added to the mailing list, make comments or contact the Secretary
