lll KAWERAU 50YEARS CATEGORY lll
ONE PRIZE ONLY OF $1500.00
CATEGORIES
1	Carving/Sculpture - Open
2	Carving - Relief carving
3	Woodturning - Open Traditional (must have less than 10% of the total surface area of the turning embellished by hand shaping, carving or painting. Shaping with the lathe is alright)
4	Woodturning - Open Artistic (turnings that have carving, painting, decoupage etc. on more than 10% of the total surface area)
5	Woodturning - Off-centre Turning (a turning using 2 or more different centres)
6	Furniture (moveable generally functional items that equip a house)
7	Marquetry & Intarsia - most imaginative and original use of medium
8	Toys/Models - not necessarily just for children
9	Pinus Radiata - anything that is made out of pine
10	Miscellaneous - piece of work that does not fit into any other category
11	College Age Woodturning - under 18
12	College Age Miscellaneous - under 18

NOTES:
KAWERAU 50 YEARS CATEGORY
2004 is Kawerau’s 50^th year and this category has been added to celebrate it. The only prize will be $1500.00 and the committee will keep the winning entry which will be presented to the town and displayed in the Kawerau Museum. Competitors may enter 1 piece in any style using any wooden medium and the theme is: Celebration of Kawerau’s 50^th Jubilee
The Marquetry category will include Intarsia which is an earlier form of mosaic woodwork.
Entry fee is $11.25 per entry, except for the College Age categories which is $5.60.
